A breathtaking view, an age-old sense of peace and unspoiled nature together with the high level of comfort make this house the ideal destination for those who wish to spend a relaxing holiday in Tuscany. The beauty of natural surroundings, the hot summer sun and the peace and quietness of the countryside will help you to set your mind free from everyday worries of modern life, recharging body and spirit with new positive energy. The beautiful house is set on terraces of olive trees surrounded by cool oak woods which cover the Pratomagno Massif, which at a height of 1592m. above sea level, dominates the green valley of the Casentino, the lush Arno valley and the charming Chianti hills.
This villa is an old stone farmhouse divided into three comfortable apartments furnished with care and good taste. Each apartment has a private garden with a gazebo equipped with a table and chairs for eating outside. The beautiful completely fenced swimming pool (5x10m - depth 1,20m) in the large natural terrace which looks out over the Arno valley, a barbecue, a wood oven, children games and satellite TV are available for guests' use. Laundry room with two washing machines and iron set. The area around the house is ideal for taking walks in the wood and one can also come across forest animals such as roe and fallow deer.
- The Pool is open from early May to early October.
- Sheets and bathroom towels with weekly change included in the price.
- If ordered in advance swimming towels can be hired on site on payment of EUR 2 each.
- Pets are welcome on payment of EUR 35 each per week.
- Wood for the fireplace EUR 15 per 100 kg.
- Wi-Fi internet access free of charge.
- Baby bed available free of charge on request at time of booking.
- Between 03.07- 28.08 arrival only on Saturday, beyond that on every day.
- Electricity, hot and cold water are included in the rental price.
- Heating costs be charged after your stay when used.
* The amount of the tourist tax is still unknown: Italy is progressively introducing tourist taxes. Chances are you will have to pay this upon arrival. The height is not yet known, but will be between 0.50 and 1.00 per person. Children are likely to be excluded.

The mountain Pratomagno is located in the eastern part of Tuscany and separates the Valdarno and Casentino valley. The massif is characterized by a strip of flat grassland, with slopes covered by dense forests of oak, chestnut, beech and fir. Pratomagno is a destination for cyclists and walkers and has one of the most beautiful panoramas and vistas of Italy.
Descent from the east side leads along scenic routes and the beautiful valley of the Casentino. The view extends to the Monte Amiata, Mount Cetona Lazio and direction to the peaks that divide Umbria from Le Marche.
The scenario of the lawns on the ridge of Pratomagno, change with the light and the season: the soft green field dotted with many kinds of flowers in the spring, rich yellow in summer, warm colors in autumn and the snow and the transparency of the air in wintertime. In this season there's more sharpness and incredible views and breathtaking sunsets.
Pratomagno is a very good place for those who wants to escape from the chaotic environment of the city.

La casa è fantastica. Siamo stati benissimo nonostante il tempo sia stato poco clemente. Accessoriata, pulitissima e gradevolmente arredata. Rapporto qualità prezzo più che ottimo. Voto 10 e lode.

Dieses Haus ist wirklich ein Traum! Lage unbeschreiblich schön , die Zimmer liebevoll und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet . Auch die Besitzer sind super freundlich und zurückhaltend. Einzig die Abfahrt ist etwas herausfordernd ( aber durchaus machbar) , aber dies ist der außergewöhnlich tollen Lage mit der herrlichen Aussicht geschuldet . Das nimmt man gern in Kauf.

Casavecchia is amazing. If you want to be away from it all then this really is the place to visit. There were 18 of us and we used all three apartments. There was plenty of space for everyone and lots of places to get away from the noise. The pool is great (but the pesky wasps and flys were constantly biting us) and a perfect size for the number of people we had. The owners met us and were super friendly, dropped a basket of homegrown vegetables to us and then a basket of home made biscuits. They also own a winery and for 6 euro a pop you cannot go wrong. Had the best nights sleep ever with the shutters drawn as it is so dark. A great place to wake up and have coffee overlooking the valley. Could not have asked for more and lawny the trusty robotic lawnmower kept the grass trimmed perfectly. A huge thank you to the owners for allowing us to use this perfect property. A must visit for lunch to Gella Biscardi - the perfect Tuscan experience.

September ' 17 - An amazing holiday at Casavecchia
We stayed for 2 weeks , friends and family joining us for 2,3 days or 1 -2 weeks. Lovely place , nice garden , fantastic view over the valley. We had a splendid time , a lot of fun & drinks and everybody was having the time of their life. One small disadvantage is the road for about 1 km to the house ; difficult to drive , it needs some reparation. Owner was very nice , bringing us cake & cookies at the swimming pool. In total we were 12 coules and 4 bambini ( between 0-2 years old). A great time , grazie !
