Holiday home IT462 Cantalena-Cortona, Tuscany
This holiday home is an ancient, stone farmhouse recently and wisely restored and placed just outside the small hamlet of Cantalena.
The farmhouse, during past times, was part of the former Podere Cerniera estate which included cultivated fields, vineyards and chestnut woods, and still today the owners take good care of it.
The house has a beautiful, infinity swimming pool (dim.10x5 mt., dept 1,50 mt.), which is placed in the adjoining garden, realized on a very panoramic, natural terrace. The property is completely fenced. At guests disposal also a barbecue and wood burning oven where to cook delightful meals to taste on the house balcony, which allows an endless view on the below valley.
Furnishing which is nice and comfortable and recalls Tuscan, peasant tradition, together with the atmosphere in which the house is immersed, will be the setting for a totally relaxing holiday to whomever wishes to take a pause from everyday life.
- The Pool is open from early May to early October.
- Sheets and bathroom towels with weekly change included in the price.

- Pets are welcome on payment of EUR 42 each per week..
- Wi-Fi internet access free of charge.
- Baby bed available free of charge on request at time of booking.

Ancient stone country house for six persons with an infinity pool. 75 mq:
Ground floor: Entrance to the living-dining room with kitchen corner and fireplace, French window on panoramic terrace, bathroom with shower, double bedroom. First floor: With access through internal staircase, bathroom with shower and double bedroom with double sofa bed. Equipment: freezer, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, moka coffee maker, filter coffee maker, iron and ironing board, satellite TV, wood burning oven, barbecue, Wi-Fi Internet access.

Cortona is well-known all around the world for its Etruscan origin and today one can visit the many Etruscan tombs left everywhere around its hills. The Valdichiana thanks to its location it’s the ideal place to visit Tuscany with their main art cities like: Florence, Siena, Pisa etc.... and the other regions of central Italy.
The old village is set around 15 km far from Cortona and Castiglion Fiorentino, prosperous towns in the lower Valdichiana rich in art and history.
Cantalena, placed 600 mt over sea level, is reachable through a panoramic, unmade mountain road, approximately 3 km long, which winds among fresh woods and green valleys and is not advisable for sport cars but suitable for any other type of motor vehicle.

We had a wonderfull time ,very nice haus ,garden and swimming pool, round about only fields ,woods and one ancient farm to be not so alone. The ownesr are beautifull people ,very helpfull ,willing and attentive.

Erholsamer Urlaub in einem sehr schönen Ferienhaus mit Pool
Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Haus sehr sauber und der Garten wunderbar gepflegt. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Die Zufahrt hat uns nicht gestört, hatten in der Vergangenheit schon schwierigere Anfahrtswege zu bestreiten. Wir haben aber auch einen 4x4, mit einem normalen PW ist es sicher beschwerlicher. Dafür hat man eine wunderbare Sicht über die bewaldeten Hügel und viel Privatspähre. Das Haus ist für 4 Personen ideal, für 6 eher knapp bemessen. Das einzige was uns gestört hat war der relativ kleine Kühlschrank mit Mini-Kühlfach. Ansonsten sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und absolut empfehlenswert! An dieser Stelle ein herzliches Dankeschön an Simonetta und an die ganze Gastfamilie.
